Old Favourites (2019)

Old Favourites exhibition in the Retford Park gallery – autumn 2019

An homage to all things cherished

Sometimes when we create a work of art, something happens that’s just a bit different. Maybe the process went very well, we’re pleased with the technique, or the creativity of the piece. Sometimes it’s a bit harder to explain precisely. Often though, we love it because there’s another kind of connection. It’s emotional. It’s visceral. It resonates. It makes us remember and smile to ourselves. These works become reasons for us to feel good about our pursuit of the arts and keep creating.

With Old Favourites we bring you a few pieces each that we’ve kept safe and sound. We’ve hung them here at Retford Park hoping you’ll find something to cherish, and take over its safekeeping. See a few of the works right here.
